If I look back I can predict what will happen later
The following story will realize my behavior and how I got here and what are my goals to accomplish.
Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try. My whole life can relate to this idea. In just a few words, my life has consisted of poverty, happiness, and above all, the love of my parents. I started going to school when I was six years old. Because we lived in a very remote area, I had to walk to school. I walked for over thirty minutes to reach school. I had to do this every day in order to get to school. That happened every day. Although there were many challenges during my early years, the love of my parents and my brothers got me through. When my older brother was in high school, we were still living in Mexico, but we were trying to move to the United States. My family got a letter from the U.S. Consulate saying that we needed to update our papers that we applied for in 2010. We started the process of updating our papers. Fortunately, they were accepted, and we became citizens of the United States of America. We moved to Strathmore, CA, and I entered Strathmore Middle School (SMS). In SMS, I studied for about a year and a half. Then, I returned to Mexico in 2012. I went back to school there until 2013. Once again, I returned to the U.S. and entered school. This time, it was in Atwater CA. I studied there for about six months, and I returned to Mexico again. I wanted to go back home, because I did not like Atwater High School. When I returned to Mexico, I took an economics class. That's when I realized that if I really wanted a good future, I must return to the U.S. I could not reach my goals if I stayed in Mexico, because the government of Mexico is corrupt. That is why the economy is not progressing. I made the decision to return to the U.S. at my first opportunity. Now, I'm here in Lindsay, CA. I am currently studying at Lindsay High School (LHS). My counselor told me that I will probably need to stay one more year in order to finish up my high school education. Hopefully, I will not have to stay for another year. I am working hard toward meeting my goals. However,if I have to stay, I know that it is for my betterment, and I will use the opportunity to continue to learn.
Once I graduate from Lindsay High School and get my diploma, I have a big decision to make. Will I go to school and get my degree in engineering, or will I start applying for jobs? I have thought about working for the SolarCity which is responsible for putting solar panels on homes and businesses. If I don’t go to work for SolarCity, I would like to work for another company that specializes in electricity or solar power. If I do have the opportunity to go to school and prepare for a career in the engineering field, I will definitely take it. I think SolarCity would be a great place to work while I attend school.
